Bad News Bears?

Kaden recently finished his 3rd baseball season and boy was it a wild ride! From coaching issues to team bullies we had it all! It would have been easy to quit but we stuck with it and played through the season! Here are three reasons why….

1. Character Building – Not every team you play on is going to be the best, quitting because you are having a rough season can lead to bad habits and set you up for future quitting. Toughen up, stick with it, and know that you can make it through!

2. Sports are not easy and neither is life. You can’t quit at life every time something is difficult or isn’t fun. Sticking with a tough season only prepares you to deal with the future.

3. Success isn’t all about winning. It’s about giving your best effort, playing 100%, and playing the entire season.

Kaden worked on three things this season, having a positive attitude, running on and off the field and doing his personal best! He had a great season, and did very well at first base. He improved and I’m proud of him for sticking with it!

His team didn’t win a lot, but he kept his head high and made it through the season!

He improved so much. It was great seeing his confidence grow as the season progressed. While he may have been on other teams (in other sports) that didn’t lose often or have the issues he had with this team, in some ways this might’ve been his best season. He never quit, and played through injuries, and he gave it his all when others around him just wanted to go home. I think this will only help him in the coming seasons in all the other leagues he plays in. You should be very proud of him! 🙂
