2014 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is getting close and we all know that Johnny Manziel is going to get a lot of attention.

He might go the the Texans or the Vikings, but not everyone believes he is going to make it as a quarterback.

I think that Johnny is a great football player and I think he will do great in the NFL. He reminds me of Joe Montana and Barry Sanders. He throws like Joe and runs fast like Barry.

Johnny Manziel is going to make it, just like Ray Lewis did. And at the end of the day it will be a big party!

When Do You Specialize?

Baseball, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Wrestling, and the list goes on. Kids today have many different options and access to a number of different sports.

With the number of options it would only make sense to try them all out and then eventually make a choice as to what you like best. Yet, we have kids specializing in specific sports at a very young age. As a parent you want your son and daughter to have choices, but also reach their goals. So the question becomes how young is too young to start specializing in a specific sport?

The only answer I can give is this….. don’t specialize. Surprised, you shouldn’t be. As Kaden continues to get older and we continue to try out different sports I have observed that he is a natural athlete. The fact that he is a natural athlete is great, but he continues to be in the middle of the road for most sports because he likes them all and we work on them all not one specific. I have thought about discussing this with him and having him pick one or two sports but that seems like forcing the issue and I would rather have it happen naturally.

I would rather have him enjoy and learn as many sports as possible and if that puts him behind so be it. You are only a kid once so why not experience everything life has to offer. We won’t be specializing any time soon and neither should you. Having fun and gaining new experiences is what I believe is best for Kaden. If he was meant to be a professional athlete than I figure it will happen rather he plays ten sports at age 8 or one.

Will Michigan and Michigan St. Meet?

The 2014 NCAA Tournament is heating up and both Michigan teams are headed to the Sweet 16.

If both teams keep winning they will cross each other’s paths in the National Championship game. Unlikely, but possible. Michigan St. is peaking right now, and Michigan also seems to have a hot hand in the tournament, shooting lights out in their last game against Texas.

If both teams do meet Kaden has Michigan St. winning it all and I have Michigan!

Only time will tell, Go Blue, Go State!

How Does Wichita St. Lose To Kentucky

The Wichita St. Shockers lost to the Kentucky Wildcats this past Sunday and I think that is crazy.

I was surprised that an 8 seed lost to a 1 see in the tournament. Wichita St. was ranked one and Kentucky was ranked 8th and yet Kentucky still won.

I was routing for Wichita St. because they are a good team and a fun team to watch. It really stinks that Kentucky won, but I have to admit they have some pretty good players.

I don’t see Kentucky going very far in the rest of the tournament and need a minute to get over the Wichita St. loss. It was a bracket buster for my mom and I.

Until next time.

Bulls vs. Thunder

The Chicago Bulls play the Oklahoma Thunder tonight and I am predicting a big game!

J. Noah vs. Kevin Durant always makes for and exciting game. Two good teams with two very good players.

I predict a win by Kevin Durant and the Thunder because Durant is a great three point shooter. Although it’s always tough to beat J. Noah and his great defense.

As I write this article I keep going back and forth and I think it will be a close game, but the Thunder will pull it out in the end.
