Baltimore Ravens Vs. Detroit Lions

On Monday T. Smith and the Baltimore Ravens take on Calvin Johnson and the Detroit Lions.

The Lions have a chance to win with Calvin, Reggie, Nate, and Suh. Calvin has been in the record books. Reggie got the 2013 Thanksgiving medal. Nate is back after his pizza incident. Suh  had to pay 100,000 dollars for bad behavior and I hope he has finally learned his lesson.

The Ravens also bring a decent team to the table with Ray Rice, and Tory Smith. Tory is a great punt returner, and Ray Rice ran for a lot of yards last year.

All right, the time is here to let you know who I am going for……Detroit Lions!

Will Jay Cutler Be Replaced By Josh McCown

Just like everyone else I am wondering if Josh McCown will be the head Quarterback instead of Jay Cutler who is the head Quarterback right now.008

Josh threw five TD’s against the Dallas Cowboy’s on Monday night and I thought that the Cowboys should have won that game. They didn’t win because of Josh McCown.

Tony Romo didn’t throw as many TD’s to Dez Bryant.

The Bears won because all of their players, B. Marshall, A. Jeffery. and M. Forte played great. Josh McCown makes them better players and that is why I think McCown could replace Cuter.

* Update: Cutler will be starting for the Bears this week and the news on the street is that Bears fans are not happy.

Team Platinum Jr. 5-0

This winter my flag football team is Platinum Jr. So far we are undefeated and have a team pl. jr 002record of 5-0.

The three best players are Casey, Kiten and me. Kiten is the QB and is the fastest guy on the team. Casey has a lot of interceptions and TD’s during this season.

The positions I play are CB (corner back) and RB (running back). I am so fast that not even a cheetah can catch me!

So far we have beaten the Lions, the Badgers, the Tigers, the Storm and Just Tuitt. I know that we will have to work hard to stay undefeated for the rest of the season.

Cones

If you want your kid to dribble like the greats, or cut like Barry Sanders then you need to invest in Cones!

Cones are great for skill building in many different sports, basketball, football, soccer, and so on.

You can weave in and out, you can set up a shooting parameter, you can dribble over the cones, you can run between the cones. I think you get my point!

Invest in cones and then check back in with Mother and Son Sports for skill building drills!

Don’t Forget To Stretch

Admittedly I am probably the last person that should be encouraging anyone to stretch as it was something I didn’t do much during my playing days. Looking back I wish that I had so without further ado, Stretching.

Stretching increases performance and decreases injury and teaching your kids the basics at a young age will benefit them in the future.

Reducing injury and increasing performance all sounds great but if you are anything like Kaden and I you get to the sporting event and your kids are off an running. I have seen Kaden’s coaches try a few warm up activities on the sidelines, but typically they are just doing their best to herd all of the boys in and get them settled down.

If you are able, try and get to the game 10-15 minutes early and then have your kids try some of the stretches recommended below.

2. http://familyfitness.about.com/od/healthandsafety/f/Kids-Stretching-Flexibility.htm

Remember it’s important to warm up and cool down before each activity. Small steps that make a big impact.

Happy Stretching!
